Editorial standards

Principles
We separate what is documented from what is claimed. Each article lists its sources, says which source is primary and how many are independent, and states what would change our assessment. The evidence label always comes from the sources, never from the author or from a sponsor.
Corrections policy
When we get something wrong we correct it in the article itself and add a dated note to its «Corrections» section, saying what changed and why. Changes of an evidence label are recorded the same way. An article that cannot be corrected is withdrawn and its address answers «withdrawn» with a note, instead of disappearing silently. To report an error, use the contact form.
Use of artificial intelligence
AI systems help us find stories, check sources, write and translate. Every published text is approved by the editor. Images made with AI are marked as illustrations and are never used as evidence. Translations show their status on each page.
Bylines
Bylines marked «AENIGMA Editorial» are editorial pen names of the AENIGMA newsroom, not individual journalists. The texts are written or adapted with AI assistance and approved by the editor.
Sponsored and publisher content
Third-party sponsored content always carries the label «Sponsored» and the sponsor's name, is kept out of search indexes and its links are marked rel="sponsored". Content about the publisher's own products carries the label «From the publisher» and is never presented as an independent investigation. Neither affects the evidence labels.
Feedback
Readers can send corrections, sources and complaints through the contact form; every message reaches the editor.
